Shell Dealer Promotional Canadian Coin Collection - Incomplete

This collectible coin set was produced as a promotional offer by Shell to encourage the sale of gasoline at their gas stations. For each fuel purchase a collectible coin was given out. The complete set is made up of 13 double sided gold coins. While this set does include 13 coins and the cardboard display card there is one coin missing and a duplicate of the P.E.I. coin. One side of the coins showcases the Floral Emblems of Canada while the other side showcases the Coat of Arms of Canada. At the top of the display card is a coin to represent Canada as a whole. The remaining 12 coins were to represent the provinces and territories. Included as mentioned above are two copies of the P.E.I. coin with the New Brunswick coin being the missing one. The territory of Nunavut is also not included as at the time these coins were made (approximately 1967) Nunavut was not a territory.
